Pre Sales Question Here:

Do you have to create an Issue in order to use the front page lay out? I like the lay out of the frontpage and don't want to have to create new issues for each new news item we post. Is this possible?

You don't create an issue for every new thread. You create an issue for a group of threads

Can you explain how you choose which thread will be displayed where in the frontpage lay out?

At issue creation, all unpublished threads are available for that issue (all new threads in a magazine forums are automatically invisible). You just drag and drop them in the position you want: horizontal boxes or vertical boxes. You select the amount of desired columns, the images size and alignment etc ...
