I know Gars, I use Gars. I'd like to believe mine will be a little better. Gars is a do all script, do a little of everything but not everything totally. An excellent script, but not deep enough. A review system, a real one needs to be a standalone.

I am in need of a review script that allows several custom fields and is able to calculate averages from the entered data. I think it is best to show you what I need:
Name of medicine reviewed: (single line text field)
Dosage taken: (drop down)
Route of administration: (drop down)
Weight of subject: (Choose from drop down)
Sex of subject: (Choose from drop down)
Physical state of subject: (Choose from drop down)
Mental state of subject: (Choose from drop down)
Other medicines involved: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
Time point 1: (a way to select day and time)
Time point 2: (a way to select day and time)
Time point 3: (a way to select day and time)
Time point 4: (a way to select day and time)
Time point 5: (a way to select day and time)
Duration of effects: (automatically calculated: Time from time point 2 to time point 5)
Effects at time point 1: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
Effects at time point 2: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
Effects at time point 3: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
Effects at time point 4: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
Effects at time point 5: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
Physical effects: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
Mental effects: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
Side effects: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
After effects: (select out of a mass of tickboxes)
Review text: (Large text field)
Overall rating: (select out of clearly defined criteria. Not out of stars)
Please explain your rating: (multiple line text field)
Rating on quality A: (select out of clearly defined criteria. Not out of stars)
Please explain your rating: (multiple line text field)
Rating on quality B: (select out of clearly defined criteria. Not out of stars)
Please explain your rating: (multiple line text field)
Rating on quality C: (select out of clearly defined criteria. Not out of stars)
Please explain your rating: (multiple line text field)
Over multiple review entries; I want to calculate the averages of all of these fields. But I also want to calculate the relation between the fields. This is exactly where GARS does not go deep enough for me. If 50 people review the same medicine, then I want to be able to see what the average duration is and what side effects are often reported.
Will your product make this possible for me?

There will not be any drop downs or such but criterias. Each item can have it's own set of different criterias. Each criteria will have it's own set of definitions represented by stars whenever possible or by words with radio buttons
example let's do a restaurant
Item title here
Overall rating info here
Item to rate here with description and actual rating options
1-cleanlingless: 1 2 3 4 5 (cleanlingles is a criteria, 1 2 3 4 5 are stars wich represent a definition)
2-Price: expensive moderate cheap
etc ...
overall rating :....

I must say that it looks much prettier with AJAX, which is a big plus. But I do not see new functionality that would make me switch from GARS.

If you are happy with Gars, you should stay with it. Nothing wrong with that script
