This is a follow-up of my pre-sales questions that I've emailed to you which is found below. Here are my other questions:
Can a user be able to immediately download his purchase item after payment? I want that I have to manually verify the payment before they can download. Does it have something like "pending" status to do this?
All of the current sites I have visited using your vBCart has a renewal option. Can we disable this because mine is just a one-time payment only for lifetime.
Can we upload multiple files for each item? In my case for example I have a BlueMagazine WP Theme which comes with different versions, i.e. BlueMag 1.0, BlueMag 1.1 and so on. Is it possible for my user to download whatever version of my theme? A good example is the vBulletin Members Area where we can select which version we're going to download.
I have an active Paid Subscriptions and the payment gateway is PayPal, how does it affect with vBcart or vice versa?
Does it have a reports in Admin listing all the buyers and it's purchased item(s)?
Does the Customer Area looks like the vBulletin Members Area?
Already Answered Questions
Is this still in active development? I guess the last update was August last year?
The latest version is 1.64, from this year. You don't see that because we had a server crash, lost some data and had to start over with data from 1/2/09
Is this compatible with VB 3.8.3?
It is running on 3.83 on the site
During installation, is there any manual template edits and edits of VB files?
No file edits. Just one optional template edit to display the cart info in every vb page like on top right of the site
How do I add a downloadable product (WP themes)? Does it have an upload manager or I just upload it by FTP and put the link?
You FTP the product to a folder on your site (could be anywhere) or you upload it in database. The FTP method to deliver from server is recommended. Once you ftp, you put the path per item. vBcart will zip it.
My forum categories and Usergroups are setup according to my WordPress themes. For example, if I have a BlueMagazine WP theme, I setup a BlueMagazine forum category and BlueMagazine usergroup for support access. Let's say a user purchase a BlueMagazine theme, can we configure so that he will move to the BlueMagazine usergroup? What about if he purchase another theme, can we add him to another usergroup too?
vBcart uses only one usergroup for all products: Customer group. And customer has access to the purchased items only.
What are the things that can be found on the "Customers Area"?
This is the customer download area where they set their domain or renew license when time comes
Delivery Method: I see on the screenshot "Encoding On The Fly", what's the other method?
You do not need encoding on the fly. This is good for php items only.
My site is setup such as domain. com/ forum. Can I display the listings of my WP themes at domain . com just like this site or at ww w. vbstyles.c om / ? Or I need to have vdAdvanced to do this?
You need vBadvanced for this.
Can we display the vbcart.php as two columns only?
You set the amount of columns in vboptions
