vbSlideshow 3.0

I am looking to purchase this from the site, just have a few questions.

ioncube decoder, what is this? It says it is required to have & use simultaneously with vBSlideshow!?

So, I would have to purchase both these items then?

& Is this going to be updated to support vb 4.X?

I am on 3.8.4 so it wont effect me yet, but I do plan on updating in the future.

Hi,

ioncube is free and 99% of hosts have it installed. To test if you have it installed please download and run that file in your browser.

I did see two instances where the host messed up installation of ioncube. If so is the case, any good host could fix that in less than one minute.

All scripts will be converted to vB 4.0. We already have one converted and are currently working on vBhelp. Next will be vBinterviews, vBmagazine etc ...

vB 4.0 is very buggy, but that will not affect vBslideshow (which will become a widget)

Thank you for the input, I ran one file & got:

This file has been successfully decoded. ionCube Loaders are correctly installed.

I then ran the other file & got:

An ionCube Loader file is required by PHP to read files encoded with the ionCube Encoder. This page will determine how you can install Loaders on this particular server.

An ionCube encoded file has been loaded successfully.
Encoded files should now function correctly.

If you have a problem with your PHP application, please contact the application provider.

That is why I have yet to update. However, when it becomes a widget will I be able to use the same functionality?

Also will I get a free download for the 4.0 upgrade or will I have to also purchase that?

The same functionality will remain. You simply will place the widget in the desired location.

You'll have access to download as long as your download is active.

It appears that you are good to go. In the hundreds of copies sold, I only had one instance where the host had a problem in php.ini preventing the installed ioncube to work properly.

I will most likely purchase this with the input I have received & looks like what I want.

I have no access to my php.ini, only my host does. Shouldn't be an issue given the results of the test.

SO I checked how long the download is active & says " 1 Year" So this means free downloads of purchased product when upgrades are released? I assume/hope the new version you speak of would be released within said time line?
